Renfrew County students compete at the annual Regional Fair for prizes and scholarships totalling more than $6,000.

In 2002, Canada launched the Innovation Strategy, committing itself to becoming one of the most innovative countries in the world. That decision ignited an explosion whose effects can already be clearly seen among our youth and among the nation’s professional scientific community.

Each year there are more than 100 science and technology fairs are held in Canada. Out of the approximately 25,000 participating, 450 advance to the Canada Wide Science Fair.

The Renfrew County Regional Science & Technology Fair sends at least 4 students to the Canada Wide Science Fair each year. Participants at the Canada Wide Science Fair compete for more than $360,000.00 in prizes and Scholarships Since 2000, Renfrew County students have earned medals each year at the Canada Wide Science Fair.

RCRSTF is only made possible through the generous support of our donors. Your donation allows us to promote student interest in science and technology and organize and stage our annual fair. More importantly, it allows us to advance our top students to the national science fair where they can compete against the very best students from across Canada. Last year, nearly 90% of every donation dollars went directly to the students in the form of awards, recognition, trips and activities.

Thanks to our donors, RCRSTF has been able to award up to 4 students with all expense paid trips to the national science fair for the past several years. Team RCRSTF frequently outperforms other Regional Science Fairs at the national level. We want to build on our successes and keep the momentum going. With your support, our students are going places!
